Clinic shares commemorative Easter eggs from cancelled White Residence Easter Egg Roll with staff members and family members around Easter weekend

WASHINGTON – An surprising gift of colourful wooden Easter eggs from 1st Girl Melania Trump and the White Residence Historical Association brightened the getaway weekend for people and employees at Children’s Nationwide Clinic.
“We are extremely grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of Mrs. Trump and our mates at the White Residence Historical Association,” says Kathleen Gorman, M.S.N., R.N., F.A.A.N., executive vice president for client care solutions and main operating officer at Children’s Nationwide. “Especially now, when everybody feels a little bit isolated, these acts of kindness support family members with a child in the healthcare facility and our health and fitness care staff come to feel a sense of relationship with the local community beyond our partitions.”
The commemorative pastel-colored wooden eggs, at first made for the 2020 White Residence Easter Egg Roll, have been shared with people and staff members in just about every unit of the the healthcare facility around the getaway weekend by Gorman and Martha Parra, M.S.N., R.N., vice president for clinical assist solutions at Children’s Nationwide.
“Creating these connections is just a person of the non-clinical factors of care at Children’s Nationwide Clinic that plays an integral section in a child’s therapeutic,” Gorman continued. “Though it was unhappy that the conventional Easter Egg Roll at the White Residence was cancelled, sharing this contact of spring joy with our family members and our hardworking staff members brought some getaway cheer into the healthcare facility at a time when it is essential most.”
