LG will demo a ‘bendable’ OLED gaming monitor at CES 2021

In addition to quite a few clear OLED demos, LG Display screen will also be displaying off a gaming-connected strategy product at its CES 2021 virtual showroom: a 48-inch 4K “Bendable CSO (Cinematic Seem OLED) display” that can change concerning a flat screen and a curved screen. The plan listed here is that you can delight in looking at videos in flat screen mode, and at the press of a button, the keep an eye on morphs into a curved screen — up to 1,000mm radius — for additional immersive gaming.

This demo may perhaps remind you of last year’s inflight enjoyment demo, in which a 65-inch screen could rework into a curved mode. What is new this time is the “CSO” component: there’s a .6mm-thick film exciter underneath, which turns the complete OLED panel into a speaker. This will allow for a slimmer keep an eye on, and with the audio coming directly from the screen, this evidently provides to the immersiveness of each gaming and video practical experience.
